Ballarat East Neighbourhood House Activities

It has been wonderful to get back to Barkly Square and Eureka Hall with our regular activities and classes, including Drawing Group with Jenette, Watercolour with Kelsie, Tai Chi with Jeni and Be Connected Digital Literacy Classes with Greg. Our popular Playgroup is also back on Tuesday mornings in the internal courtyard at Barkly Square and Chatty Wednesdays at A Pot of Courage Cafe.

Join us for lunch to celebrate International Women's Day

From 12.30 pm - 2.00 pm this Tuesday 8 March, the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House and A Pot of Courage Teams are partnering to put on a lunch and entertainment at Barkly Square to celebrate International Women's Day. There will be two speeches by local women, Deb Clarke (Koorie Education) and Libby Jewson (WRISC Family Violence Support) and singing by Deb Clarke and Shel O'Toole.

Meals will be available, but only if pre-purchased by 8.00 am on Monday 7 March. Coffee and baklava will be available for purchase on the day.

Adaptable Cooking

Join this new class to learn how to cook for those with dietary requirements: Coeliac disease, FODMAPS, dairy intolerance, vegan, vegetarian and more.

When: 12.30 pm - 2.30 pm Thursdays for 5 weeks, starting 10 March
Where: Barkly Square, Ballarat East
Cost: $10 per session



Free Online Wellbeing Talks 

Partnering with local mental health support organisation, Wellways, the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House will be running a series of five free online Mental Health and Wellbeing Talks this term.

Held online via Zoom from 7.30 - 8.30 pm on Wednesday evenings from 9 March for 5 weeks, presenters will include Wellways, Women's Health Grampians, Partners in Parenting, Uniting and more.

Radically change your body, mind and spirit by mastering the art of Living Wisely drawn from Ayurveda and yoga. Learn 10 simple, yet powerful habits that will improve your overall health and well-being. Build a Dinacharya – daily routine roadmap - that will align you to nature’s daily rhythm and flow. By following nature’s rhythm, you will sleep better and have consistent energy.

Bring along you own device, or borrow one from us. Learn lots of tips and tricks from Greg to make the most out of your phone/tablet/laptop.
