Mt Pleasant Community Connections Group

The Mt Pleasant Community Connections Group was formed in 2018, through the City of Ballarat’s Mt Pleasant Engaging Communities Program. The Group has previously been supported by the Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre and will now fall under the new Ballarat East Neighbourhood House. The Group was established to deliver community events and activities throughout Mt Pleasant, along with offering support for community groups and the production of the Mt Pleasant Community Newsletter.

Members include local residents and representatives from Mt Pleasant Primary School, Mt Pleasant History Group and the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House. As a Group, we work closely with the City of Ballarat to improve amenities and activities within the Mt Pleasant area.

The Group has conducted events in Mt Pleasant such as Neighbour Day, Children’s Fest, Tree Day, and the annual Christmas Carols. The community groups we support include the Mt Pleasant History Group, the Mt Pleasant Walking Group and the Mt Pleasant Garding Group. The Mt Pleasant Community Connections Group usually meets at the Mt Pleasant Primary School on the second Thursday of the month at approximately 5pm.
