National Volunteer Week 2024: ‘Something for Everyone’
The theme for National Volunteer Week 2024 is ‘Something for Everyone’.
National Volunteer Week 2024 will recognise the diverse passions and talents everyone brings to the act of volunteering. National Volunteer Week Events will take place from 20-26 May 2024, to say thank you to the millions of Australians who volunteer their time. We invite you to join in the events across the country.
It’s an invitation to explore the myriad of opportunities available, emphasising that there’s a place for everyone in the world of volunteering. Whether you’re drawn to environmental causes, community outreach, education, or beyond, there’s a place where your unique skills and interests can flourish.
Let’s come together during National Volunteer Week, embracing this theme to showcase the vast spectrum of possibilities and the transformative impact that emerges when everyone finds their meaningful role in making a difference.
About Volunteering with the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House
The Ballarat East Neighbourhood House welcomes anyone who would like to volunteer their time and skills. Volunteering provides an opportunity for people to meet others with similar interests, build their confidence and to make a difference in the community.
People can help out by volunteering their time with project work from home, helping out in the office, with production and distribution of the Ballarat East Community News and support for group activities such as Chatty Wednesdays and Playgroup. People with expertise in areas of interest to the community may also be willing to run a group activity on a voluntary basis.
Volunteers have opportunities for training, in addition to ongoing support. All volunteers will require a Working With Children and Police Check. We can assist you with applications and cost if you do not already have them.
We would like to thank our current and past volunteers for their ongoing support and efforts.
If you are considering volunteering, or would like some more information, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
