Free Support for Community Groups

The Community Governance Project funded by City of Ballarat is working to provide support to community groups in the City of Ballarat, delivered across the four Neighbourhood Houses in Ballarat through a four-year Strategic Partnership. Commencing June 2022, the project aims to build capacity for local groups through delivery of training on governance, grant writing, financial management, running effective meetings, managing volunteers and applying for incorporation. Exploring Writing

In Term 1 2024, the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House is offering an 8-week series of Writing workshops, with local author and poet, Melissa Watts. The workshops will include writing exercises, and also time to work on a writing project of your choice, that you might have already started or that you are looking to start. Each week you will have the opportunity to work on your project, to give and receive feedback, and ask questions and work through any problems together, allowing the opportunity to learn and develop writing skills together. All classes will run Thursdays, 12.15 pm - 2.45 pm in the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House Community Room, Barkly Square, Ballarat East.8-week course, $120

Join Clare for a relaxing hour of hypnotherapy and meditation on Friday afternoons: 12.30 pm - 1.45 pm, Fridays during school term. Term 1, 2024 - Starting 2 February and finishing 15 March.$70 for Term 1, 2024 (7 weeks) The sessions will cover: Deep relaxation and wellbeing, Releasing stress and anxiety, Manifesting positivity and confidence. Clare says, "Hypnosis is just a very relaxed and focused state of mind, like a deep meditative state. It’s a process where the conscious mind is asked to step aside temporarily to allow you to connect with the subconscious mind. It’s relaxing and enjoyable!
